McDonald's is phasing out the Super Size and is replacing happy meals with (and I quote) "healthy food." Fruit, juice, that sort of thing.
I don't personally eat at McDonald's. But with the threat of heart disease on the rise and the continual statistical information on how 50% of all Americans are overweight (might be more), I fear that other fast food restaurants will follow suit.
That's how the trends work. Just look at the 99 cent menu. I think Jack-in-the-Box was the first to coin this. All the other restaurants soon implemented one.
Could this be the end of my beloved contemporary Wendy's?
